Introduction to different surface treatments of stainless steel

I. Rolling surface treatment (cold/hot rolling)

2B: The most common cold rolling treatment process, through cold rolling, annealing, pickling and finally light rolling to obtain a smooth matte surface Medium reflectivity, suitable for building cladding and industrial equipment The surface roughness Ra value is about 0.1-0.5μm, which has both corrosion resistance and processing convenience

2D: matte cold rolling treatment, less reflective than 2B, more uniform surface Suitable for industrial environments requiring low reflectivity, such as food processing equipment It is often used in engineering structural parts and metal joints

BA (bright annealing) : a highly reflective mirror surface formed by annealing in a controlled atmosphere with a surface roughness Ra<0.1μm Suitable for high-end decoration and electronic equipment casing
